when inspiration becomes a connection

“Poster” is my second short film, a queer artsy meet-cute shooting in Feb/March ‘25!

I’m incredibly excited to have started shooting for this project! We continue to grow our collaborative team, adding producers Scott Taylor and Jim Dicus to help realize this vision, and AD Bree Chicha to keep all the details straight! We’ve found some awesome extras to participate in the story, and we’re super grateful to have sourced several music tracks from incredible local artists to use throughout the film. I’m working with an incredible cinematographer (Cody Walters) who’s cooking up all kinds of ideas with me to immerse the audience in the story, and my sound designer/composer Misha Lepire is already hard at work on theme and vibe, navigating the intricate weave of the plot. Our lead (The Artist) Sarah Steube brings a subtlety and amazing acting chops to the role, and Amelia Nomura is a gifted and commanding presence as The Dancer. All of The Artist’s works are being created/supplied by Rae Hood, an incredible local maker. So many great people on this project that I’m overwhelmed - this kind of community connection is what I (and a lot of other, I think) need right now! Stay tuned for updates!!
